i have only recently retracted my foreskin and now the glans of my penis is constantly exposed (the top 20-30%) and it is very uncomfortable in my boxers or underwear. This is especially the case when I get an erection in my underwear when I'm with my girlfriend. Is there any way to desensitize the glans? Or is circumcision preferred

desensitizing the glans
Try stretching the foreskin several times per days to lengthen it.
You solved the problem in your earlier post!
Desensitisation occurs on constant contact like with cloth and during shower when you wash yourself . Over time , the glans becomes keratinised and desensitzed. I would not consider circ if it's just for desensitisation . Also you can try applying a thin film of vaseline on the glans . This helped me post circ with sensitivity . All the best !
Over time, you will lose the excessive sensitivity to ordinary, everyday touch which can make daily hygiene painful. The more your glans comes into contact with clothing, your hand, etc the faster your brain can 'tune out' this excessive sensitivity as it does for the rest of your skin.
Circumcision will not remove the excessive sensitivity of itself, but it does ensure that the glans gets more touching to speed up the reduction in sensitivity. Although there are benefits to circumcision it isn't something you should do just to reduce glans sensitivity.
The more you use your penis retracted and the older you get, the less sensitive your glans will be. I keep my foreskin back after a shower if I’m in loose shorts at home, have done for years. I also keep my foreskin back when masturbating which also helps once you get used to the sensitivity. I love my glans now, not too sensitive, can keep my foreskin back or forward and I still have all those fantastic nerve endings on the inner foreskin too.
