dont really know what way to turn but im 21 with total loss of feeling in my penis i have seen doctor after doctor on the NHS but nothing was done, ive gone private to one of the best hospital in london and still nothing, ive had tests after tests and still nothing shows up. All im getting from doctors is ( it will come back) ( im not sure whats wrong) when im telling them whats wrong i think my pudenda nerve is damaged but no one wants to do nothing to help, but then it gets worse i then had a MRI scan and then my penis started to twist round and also a curvature present its also retracting itself inside my body and doctors still aint doing nothing.

I just want to see people answers from this as its really killing me slowly as i cant take it no more

I have tested the link and it appears to be working now. If you have problems perhaps you can copy and paste it into your browser rather than just clicking on it.

Wow I am suprised that no one has given you any medication even ones that could augment nerve regeneration . I would suggest you to meet a urologist or neurologist and try again

If you have had injury like S2BC has said , you have to get it evaluated as it could become permanent . Have they done a nerve conduction study and seen if the nerves are viable and responsive ? Do you have any other disorders or diseases that could affect nerves or muscles ! I can understand your frustration. Try to find a doctor and to be honest you seem a little depressed too . Please don't give up and try to find the root of the cause . Also if you are feeling too down , do have a few counselling sessions . It worked for me . Also , try to have a time line Abt when this has started . Has it progressed or was it since birth or after some trauma etc. All the best !

yes i know its to do with biking, i have been seeing a private urologist in london but every time i mention to her about my nerves she seems to move on to another subject, im also very depressed it literally feels like ive died and woke up as a totally different person, i dont feel like a man any more and thats not like me growing up with only girls in the house i had to be the man of the house, now it feels like i wouldnt be able to protect them in any way.

Okay so what is she telling you or advicing you to do ? Would you be better off getting another consult perhaps from a neurologist ? I also want to ask is the curvature significant and is the total sensory loss also include touch ? So like if you close your eyes and touch your glans , do you feel it even on pressure ? If you do feel it then you may not have such a dire problem but if you don't I would advise you to meet a neurologist and see if your nerve supply or receptors are patent . Also do you feel any distribution of loss of sensation? Is it just the glans or the entire length of penis ? I would suggest you to not attribute it to masculinity as these kind of problems although affect the genitals have nothing to do with masculinity. It's in the viewpoint at which you believe so pls try not to create a thought link and be positive . All the best !

well all she really wants to do is do more tests but i havent got money to keep going to see her, the curvature is not servere but as ive got OCD things have to be straight or equal so i cant deal with it, ive been trying to find a neurologist that mainly deals with this but havent found no one. but no i have no feeling of pressure or anything in my penis and genitals, literally the only thing i feel down there is it twisting round and feels out of place, it feels like all ma nerves / ligaments are twisted underneath and wen i mention it to my urologist she just laughs like im not tellin the truth.

Ask her what she's ruling out with all these test and in my opinion get a second opinion . Okay so technically twisting might not have happened as it would present with completed a different symptommatology but trauma to a plexus of nerves might have occurred but this kind of injury is uncommon . Have you noticed this suddenly / acutely ? I would suggest you meet with a neurologist and get an opinion at the least . They usually do tests to determine if the nerve is patent and even before this screen you for other disorders or conditions that can cause the same presentation. With the limited knowledge I would like to advise you to meet a neurologist especially good in lower limb . All the very best and don't lose hope yet !

Internal, fingers inside your rectum to check pelvic floor

I’m a cyclist too. As you’ve identified cycling as the possible cause might I suggest you seek out a cycling forum or group for help? Both male and female cyclists are known to suffer genital problems which are often beyond the knowledge of GPS and urologists. You need someone who specialises in sports medicine on this one.

as yurve mentioned sports medicine i dont see how that will work as i think its nerve damage?

A specialist will have encountered the problem before. Believe me you won’t be unique, and having identified the issue can connect you with the right person and speak their language. I’ve had another thought too. Some years ago after a fall off my bike I had some back pain and saw a physio. A lot of them are very sports orientated. One of the questions she asked me was if I had any numbness in my penis. That’s another avenue to explore, see a physio. It might be possible to self refer to the local physiotherapy department on the NHS and even if you go privately the cost is very reasonable. It’s worth calling your surgery to ask if there’s a physio you can access.
