Hi guys I'm fairly new on healthy locked so please bare with, this is one topic I've never had to talk about before, I'll try keep it short, bout a week ago I suddenly noticed a I'd call it a bit of flappy skin more than a lump or spot right on the tip of my p@#is, didn't think anything of it but since then I now have a rather small spot/lump on outside of foreskin, no pain whatsoever and no difficulty going to toilet, spoke to doc no idea what but asked about my sexual history, I was with the same girlfriend for 21 years we have kids together, we split up over two year ago, then I met someone last August and absolutely love her to bits, she doesn't know about this, yet, and she feels fine I'm just really scared what happens now.

I've never been here before and rather scared.

Any advice/help is hugely appreciated

Does your doctor want to see you again? Sounds like they ought to.

You mean see doc first, also I'm seeing girlfriend tonight do I sit her down and talk to her or wait to see what doc says I'm so scared it's unreal

in reply to Tech40

Sounds like you need support. You have been with your GF for a year so she’s going to be there for you.

How on earth do I explain I have a couple of spots down below

in reply to Tech40

They could be anything at all. Not all bumps and spots that appear are STI’s. Don’t forget the skin of the penis is the same as the rest of you, I’m sure you’ve had the odd spot elsewhere in the past.

I've had spots in strange places before and turned out to be nothing, thing it tho one of the things is the tip of my penis I wouldn't say it's a spot more like a tiny flap of skin underneath the front top of penis.

Hello, please don't worry but do get in touch with your local GUM clinic. They may well do a remote consultation, and ask you to send images to them to determine whether it is something or nothing. They may also suggest that you get tested for STIs (they may send a test kit to you to use, which is easy) and have injections for Hepatitis, and HPV, just to be on the safe side. This is absolutely normal and good practice, and nothing at all to be worried about. We all get changes to our skin and body from time to time, and you're just being sensible to get things checked out as a responsible adult. Your partner will understand - it's similar to scans women have like a cervical smear or for lumps on the breast. Take care.

Don't be scared. You are considerate of yourself and others, which is great! :)

Thank you means a lot, I thi k because the problem is where it is I'm over thinking sexual things, and like u said earlier our body's go thru changes etc I'm hoping it's something silly, something slightly unconnected when we were all in lockdown weeks ago I had every classic symptom of covid19, it started my anxiety off I was struggling to breath etc and when I eventually fell asleep one night ambulance staff came as gf phone them and they said I should have been hospitalised as I showed all symptoms. Anyway since then I've never felt 100% had pains iny abdomen weeks ago which after tests the hospital couldn't explain, they went, now I have the issue of overheating at night, feeling like I'm burning up and even gf says she can feel the heat off me which again is something the doc can't explain, and now the problem down below.

Ring up your local sexual health clinic (sometimes known as GUM clinic). They will give you an appointment to see them. It is completely confidential and you do not have to go through your GP.
