The skin on the end of my circumcised penis comes away slightly during an erection to expose the glans. Is this natural?

When I get an erection, the end of my circumcised penis gets very sensitive and painful to touch as some of the skin retracts slightly. This becomes problematic during foreplay and sex, and I get the feeling that this pain isn't something I should be experiencing. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

I’m not quite clear on what you’re describing? How long ago were you cut?

I think my issue might actually be an oversensitive glans (the pink bit on the end). Is it supposed to sting when you touch it? It does for me. It's odd though, because I've been circumcised since I was a baby.

So when you are flaccid, your glans is covered? Completely or partially?

Completely

So you still have some foreskin left. If this pain is a new feature you may have an infection. Best get it checked.

You’re absolutely sure you’re circumcised? Regardless, if your glans is covered most of the time and you’re young your glans can be painfully sensitive. When I was in my late teens and early 20’s and before I was circumcised I couldn’t bear for anything to touch my glans unless it was very well lubricated. I think people confuse sensitive with pleasurable. Post circumcision I had to train my glans to interpret touch as pleasure by masturbating with lube just at the glans. Eventually the overload of sensation becomes pleasurable rather than painful.

Yes, that's exactly how I'm feeling. I wonder then if there really is some foreskin left but that it's just not that obvious. Interestingly though, I've found that I can touch my glans during masturbation when it's well coated with semen, but other than that it's impossible. Regarding the lube, are there any that you recommend?

So the ‘stinging’ you describe isn’t a sharp pain like pins sticking in? Just to be sure. Whether or not some skin covers the glans when flaccid seems to be a very individual thing. Yes, it should re retracted fully when erect. For lube I personally don’t buy commercial ones but use a natural one such as coconut oil, less mess to clean up as a water based lube has to be washed off and the coconut oil is a moisturiser, so you get two jobs done at the same time.

Thanks mate, you've been a great help. Personally, would you recommend circumcision, or can I train my glans to not feel the pain?
