Hey guys, recovery is going well (week 5) and I’m looking forward to the aftercare where I can put bio and coconut oil on my penis to help healthy recovery but I remember seeing it was ill advised to apply before the wound has completely healed. Do you guys think that I’m nearly ready to apply bio oil? FYI I’ve already emailed doctor and await his response just want to get your guys opinion in the meantime. Cheers!

Too early to use bio oil?
The wound should be healed by now but your doc will confirm. You will know if there is any skin that is not knitted together.
Ideally the swelling should be down and the skin over the incision site must be in continuity without any breaks as could be corroborated by your doc. That would probably be the best time to start the bio oil . All the best !
I’m at the end of week 5 of recovery and I started using bio oil a few days ago. I waited until the start of week 5. I felt healed around week 4 but I still waited about a week or so. Now I feel fully healed and feel better about waiting a bit longer. All my wounds were closed and my stitches all fell off about 2 weeks ago.
Also, make sure you don’t use any bio oil on your penis head. Only use it on the scar line.
Why would you not put Bio Oil on the glans too? Surely it would help to soften things?
Honestly I posted a similar question to yours and was informed using it on the gland is not a good idea. I believe it’s because of the additional ingredients on the bio oil and how it’s scented. It’s made to help reduce scars so it would not do anything to the gland. From what I’ve heard it’s best to use virgin coconut oil on the gland.
I see. Thanks. Makes sense. My mistake 🤦♂️
