I don’t think it looks like a botch and the scarring issues are down to your body’s response and your post-operative care, not the surgeon.
However if the main reason for the op was related to the frenulum then that raises a question as to why it’s still there.
It also raises the question of why you’ve waited a year and seven months before posting on this health forum instead of returning to your urologist sooner to resolve it.
I wanted to wait longer to see if the frenulum breve no longer an issue but now it’s back. Noticed the tear a few days ago. I don’t want to go through the operation all over again. It was an ordeal for me. Bled for more than 8 weeks. I did go back to the urologist but he told me to wait for 6-12 months then book an appointment if I think there still an issue. I think there is.
I've talked to many guys and urologists are the worst surgeons. They say they'll dp one type of circumcision then they do a completely different one. My frenelum was supposed to be saved and yours were supposed to be removed.
I wouldn't say it looks botch. Looks pretty similar to mine. But it could look better but it's up to the surgeons skill and using glue instead of stitches. Any idea why you're cut so low? How's sex?
The urologist didn’t seem very engaged and never explained the type of cut/style or even examined me thoroughly. He just asked me what the problem was and I explained the frenulum kept tearing so was painful. No idea why he didn’t remove the frenulum when I told he that is where I had the problem but he removed just the foreskin.
Even the morning of the op, he just said he will not cut too much off. Never really explained more than that. Maybe he meant he won’t cut the frenulum.
Masturbation is fine as long as I don’t pull too far as there is not enough skin elasticity to stretch the skin. Sex is ok with lube.
I’m not sure how yr urologist practices circumcisions. however my circumcision was a two part procedure, which was 1. the removal of my foreskin, and 2. The removal of my frenulum. I paid separately for both of them, even though they were done at the same time. My doctor advised/recommended that I’d get the frenulum removed as well as it would cause tension when erect and possible discomfort during sex. Maybe your doctor separates the removal of your frenulum, but you should have been informed. Hope things improve for you
Mine was via the NHS and the surgeon/urologist did not even closely examine (touch) my penis or advised me on the type/style of circumcision he will do. I was totally surprised as he mainly looked at my GP’s notes rather than physical examination!
Nope it looks very standard adult low and tight, with a small amount of frenulum left. Have pretty much the same outcome. I also have the darker areas between where the stitches were. The have and continue to fade over time.
Still feels hard to the touch around the incision line. Surgeon removed all inner foreskin and just sutured the outer foreskin to the base of the inner foreskin near to the glans. So not very elastic around the incision line.
Can you stretch the frenulum? That was my initially problem of frenulum breve but surgeon circumcised me but left frenulum intact! Still see slight tear when masturbating etc.
