I go to.bed and when ready to sleep turn over onto my tummy. I can then feel my penis getting hard.. and so it serns to remain all night. Last night being a case in point . I woke up uncomfortable a few times always extremely hard and getting up this morning its the same. Within seconds of waking it subsides
I m just 50 is this a sign of getting older. Its only started recently.
if you take a Vick’s nasal inhaler and use it, it will relieve your erection. Also Sudafed would do this as well. I am assuming that this erection is not caused by erotic stimulation. It’s something called priapism. Look it up, it sounds like what you have. Also what medications do you take. I know that trazodone is famous for causing this side effect.
Hi..definitely nothing to do with anything erotic..its just there and becomes uncomfortable.
I take blood pressure meds (felodipine) Methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine and folic acid.
circumcision May be the cause. It’s caused by trauma to the penis, but it could also be caused by blood pressure meds as well.
As this is a new phenomenon I'd speak to your doctor about it.

This is your body's way of making sure that things are working well. I've woken during the night many times with an erection from the age of about 10-12. I'm now 57 and it still happens regularly. Last night I woke three times with an erect penis.
I personally use the hardness of my morning wood as a barometer to my general health. I have a host of health issues including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and finding an erection in the morning is a positive sign for me.
