Hi. Just an update on my previous posts, for those who may be interested. I’m now 20 weeks post circumcision and I still can’t pee standing up, have had no sexual experiences whatever because of the pain, suffer extremely painful erections, which are three inches shorter than normal, and ‘am in daily discomfort.

I’ve now been referred to a top specialist at a different hospital. He’s almost certain that too much skin has been removed and I’ve been stitched too tight. This has had the effect of pulling the head down from underneath & preventing full erections, due to being retained & trapped in my groin.

I’m now looking at further major surgery to try & improve my quality of life. The original scar tissue will be removed, to release the penis. They’ll then inflate the penis to full erection, then apply skin grafts, taken from under my arms. To improve the chances of the skin graft taking the dressing will be stitched to the wound & I’ll be fitted with a catheter.

I share this update not to scare people or warn you guys off having a circumcision, but to help others understand that despite what some may say all surgery comes with risks.

I am sorry to hear with what you are going through. I was someone who didn’t have enough skin my whole life. Before you do skin grafts, maybe you can ask doctor about tissue expander, which would expand the skin on your penis instead of a skin graft. I am someone who suffered greatly in the past from painful erections. I actually thought that my glans was going to fall off because there wasn’t enough skin and it was hurting so much. I expanded the tissue on my penis for 6 months using my own hands. It has made such a difference because now my glans feels like it is part of my penis instead of feeling like it was distinct from my shaft.
