I was circumcised back on June 3rd of this year for phimosis (I’m from the U.S). Since then, the swelling has not gone down nor gotten any worse. Is this level of swelling when flaccid normal this late into the recovery? The swelling doesn’t look as bad when erect except in the frenulum region. My doctor told me to expect a few months but I didn’t think that nothing would change at all in the roughly four and half months since surgery.
Also, the swelling on the underside of the frenulum is lightly tender still when it rubs against my testicles. Just wondering if there’s any others here who have/had swelling similar to mine at around the same timeframe in the recovery as I am. Seeing a doc is difficult at this point as I am still unable to wear clothes due to hypersensitivity and I moved 2 hours away from my urologist who performed the op.

I’ve pretty much tried everything. Sucking it up and wearing clothes as long as I can bear, touching, exposing it to different things etc. It feels as though my nerves on my glans are hardwired for heavy discomfort. Pretty much put my life on pause, had to drop out of college for the semester, move in with my parents, really regretting the operation at the moment but I know it’ll eventually get better.
While being somewhat painful, wearing snug briefs with the penis pointing upwards helped the recovery process, in terms of swelling, quite a bit.
With regard to your hypersensitivity, wearing loose underwear is a no no. The movement will cause you great discomfor. Snug fitting soft underwear to restrict/prevent movement is what is needed.
Thanks, I’ve actually tried keeping my penis upright and notice swelling goes down a little, but goes back to the “normal” swelling shortly after it goes back to the “normal” hanging down position.
I experienced that too. Full recovery for me was 8 months. The time will pass and when you think back you'll see that the recovery process had to run its course.
Glad to know man. Thanks for sharing your experience, will be absolutely worth going through recovery once it’s all over.
Do not worry, it is in the process of accustom it. Phimosis may lead penile cancer, at least you did a great choice eventually it may give you discomfort now but believe me you will love once it heals completely. Your orgasm will be much more intense, your this pain will be pay back with your intense orgasm after healing.
Hey brother how did you heal? I’m 2 weeks in post surgery and my frenulum area still has a scab and is super tender at times. Especially when I sit and rests on my testicles it gives me this weird shock discomfort, hard to explain. Did yours feel anything like that or similar to that? Can you please reply and let me know. Thanks
