Hi, I thought I'd share my experience to hopefully put peoples mind at ease.
I suffered from phimosis for about 10 years. I didnt have any pain though occasionally I would get a little rip in the skin. I'd put the operation off for about 6 months. I kept getting a date then back out. I had another date through and thought sod let's go for it. I had the op done a week yesterday so I'm now on day 8.
The op was really quick (15/20mins) I woke up in recovery and felt like I'd slept for ages! I didnt have any pain and felt like i could get up and walk around straight away. I got taken back to the ward and spent 2 hours there with my headphones in watching youtube. Had the nurse come round and take a look and she advised I could go home.
The first night I didnt sleep a wink. I was in no pain what so ever but kept thinking if I got a hard on in my sleep how bad the pain would be! This is my progress so far from day 1 to 8.
Day 1 (day after the op)
I worked from home on the computer. Has shorts on with a dressing round my penis. Little spots of blood but nothing really.
Day 2.... actually went back into work (I work on my own) Walking like I'd shit myself as the head of my penis was really sensitive. Still no pain. Managed a shower that night. Expected the worst by no pain again not even stinging.
Day 3.... swelling still there and the bruising has come out. No pain and managed a full nights sleep in my side. Woke up 2/3 times with a hard on but didnt hurt at all.
Day 4..... showering etc is all fine. Sleeping is fine and still no pain.
Day 5-6.....
Been out with the wife and kids shopping etc. Walking with a bit of a limp as the head is still pretty sensitive but the feeling is going down. Had 2 salt baths the last few days still with no pain at all.
Day 7.... a week since the op.....
Sensitivity has gone down loads so not walking like John Wayne anymore! Back to lifing things etc in work. Showing and salt baths are really helping with the recovery.
Day 8 (today)
Swelling is still there but has gone down loads. First stitch has cone out in my boxers this morning. Walking normal today. I think reading the other comments on here how lucky I've been ( the worst oast of the op was taking the drip needle out!)
I'll try and keep the updates of the recovery going on here. I'm racing (motorcycle racing) on the 12th of Ocober so that's the goal you be fit and able to go that for the weekend! If anyone is doubting the op please dont as I know I'm only a week in but I'm really happy with the outcome and looks of my new penis! I 34 and have been given a real confidence boost 👌
