I got circumcised at the beginning of June this year due to phimosis and almost at the 4 month mark. Swelling persists (and has not gone down but also hasn’t gotten worse) mostly in the frenulum region. Have been taking frequent epsom salt baths and using coconut or bio oil for the scar and for moisturizing. The swelling looks much better when I’m erect because it stretches out although it’s still a bit tender. No pain during erections or when ejaculating.
However, there’s one massive issue that I have not been able to solve yet and it’s affected me a lot. I have no pain or feeling of discomfort on my glans if left untouched. However, when I do touch my glans or something else touches it, it’s still very uncomfortable to make me wince each time. I’ve tried just bearing the discomfort and just exposing it to touch it just doesn’t seem to really get better. I can’t even really put a bandage over it all because the tip needs to be exposed so I don’t have to unbandage to urinate and the tip is uncomfortably sensitive as well. I knew before the surgery that sensitivity would be an issue post op as my glans has never been exposed to anything before, but I didn’t expect it to take months. Is there anyone else out there who can relate?

I have a very similar swelling (greater than yours) after 5 weeks from circumcision and frenuloplasty... The sensitivity is very similar to what did you explained but I am still using bandages with Luan gel for the majority of the time because I also have the problem that the gland and the frenulum look sticky and sticks to the slips. For this second issue, I am not doing anything in particular, for the swelling, I am using Gentalyn ointment and maneuvers...
Left side of glans is pretty much desensitized but the rubbing sensation is still pretty uncomfortable but overall I’d say it’s getting better. I’ve been using coconut oil to moisturize it and taking epsom salt baths to keep it clean but that’s about it.
I have used both coconut and bio oil. They have helped the scar heal a little better but I don’t really notice a large improvement in the aesthetics or appearance of the scar.
I really appreciate that man and only slightly. It just seems to be taking its time which sucks but it’ll get better eventually. Best of luck to you as well on your recovery.
