This is day 17 after my circumcision and the sensitivity is unbearable. I’m not sure if it’s the wound itself or the head or a mixture of the both. I can’t go anywhere without having a dressing on it cause it’s so unbearable and I walk funny.
How long until this dies away or long did you guys dress your penis for after the op?
Thinking round week 4 when it’s healed well I’ll take the dressing off for an hour or so a day at home and build it up like that. What do you guys think?
why are you having a dressin 3 weeks in..., I had just for 1 day, man up and it will go away, stop worrying so much just let it free and bear it till you get used to it. Personally I just don't wear underwear most of the time and im 20 days after op.
My GP said to keep it covered to minimise risk of infection and risk of wound opening with friction against clothes and things. My advice slip from the hospital also says to cover with gauze to prevent stitches catching until they dissolve.
I don't know man, most doctors here say act normal after 1st week, I feel like you're limited for no reason, maybe your case is different. Wish you fast recovery and sensitivity will go down as days pass don't worry.
If you always keep your penis wrapped in bandage it will never lose its sensitivity. Take normal baths. Wash your glans with soap and water, wear normal inner wear and trousers. I had the dressing on for 5 days. After that I kept the glans exposed. The sensitivity was killing me for the first 2 days after that. But ever since, I have become accustomed. Now I can touch it and I don't feel sensitized if it touches the garment. It has been 20 days since my surgery.
