Samsauce If you’re being circumcised by NHS as a medical cure for phimosis there is only one style which is low, i.e. scar line may be 5-7mm from base of glans. This is because the narrow opening preventing retraction needs to be widened first so they cut from the end down the top surface and then around the base of the glans holding the foreskin apart with Mosquito clamps as they proceed.
When you see pictures or hear of someone having a ‘low’ cut it’s very likely a medical circumcision done to cure phimosis.
I was circumcised by NHS as an adult and extremely happy with result, without bragging it’s cosmetically neater than many I see pictured on various sites.
I hope this helps to reassure. The best thing to do is to ask your Urologist what’s involved and to describe what you should expect. Don’t get hung up on styles, it’s not worth it. Not being able to retract means you’re about to gain feeling once circumcised, not lose it.

I had mine done to cure fungal & balanitis outbreaks so in pre-op said to the surgeon that I “wanted it all off” as I didn’t want to come back. I’m a grower and ended up tight as a drum, no movement when fully erect (unless I sit down). My scrotum doesn’t get pulled up giving me a turkey neck like some other guys tightly cut. I’m uncovered when flaccid so little risk of fungal flare-ups. I had a suspicion they induced an erection to ensure accuracy during op but I was under a general so don’t really know.
I got what I wanted but others talk about looser cuts and they therefore have some slack skin to play with which may be better for masturbation. Each to his own.

I’m sure that User1957 is totally correct. I don’t know anything about NHS circumcision. My sons were circumcised privately and that was 12 years ago for the younger one so you may not be able to choose high or low.
I had a tight circumcision (see my recent posts for photos). I have no shaft skin movement and I love it like that, but you may prefer a looser cut with skin movement. I’m sure that there are lots of examples on this site of that as well so worth having a look.

How long was your healing and recovery time?
FWIW - the results I've seen posted here from Dr Kahn in London are pretty fantastic. Great cosmetic results and his circumcisions seem to heal faster than most other folks. I don't know if his price is within your wheelhouse, but were it me, I'd definitely try to work with him.

My heads never been exposed and sex is pretty shit tbf, the only good bit is the actual orgasm, the build up is boring and I can’t fee a thing. The only thing that keeps me going is the fact I know it will feel good!! At least if I get circumcised I will feel pleasure (granted maybe not as much as if my dick actually worked it the first place lol) If there was nothing wrong I wouldn’t chop it off!!

Just to manage your expectations and in case you didn’t know, if you’ve never been able to expose your glans then you will find it will be hypersensitive for the first couple of weeks. From memory, I’d compare it to touching your eyeball and certainly uncomfortable when it touches material. Take a week off work!

NOWHARD is out to lunch on this one. You would be hard pressed to find a guy here who was circumcised for phimosis who didn't consider it a 1000% improvement.
To be honest masterbation and sex get boring because I don’t feel the pleasure. I’m sure the feeling will be so much better!!

You’re right, it'll make a world of difference and you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it earlier.
It can open up a whole new demension to having sex. It did for me and most me who get circumcised are very satisfied. I had been retracting my foreskin for a year before the circumcision, and it made the transition to having the glans exposed very easy.
Sounds like you have a great doctor! My doctor recommended I get circumcised, so I had it done in March of this year. I love her for it, and it's the best decision I've ever made in my whole life! Congratulations on your decision!

You have tried the stretching and all of that sometimes it just doesn't work it is time then to move on and have it sorted. I think you have never been able to retract your foreskin it will be a new beginning for you, you will have very sensitive glans at first but that will improve in time. you will wonder why you didn't do it earlier😊

Clearly you have some issues you have with your own body if you have to do penis extension exercises. I’ve tried to fix my condition on my own and it’s not worked so I’ve accepted that I’m gonna have to seek medical help. If it goes wrong then I’ll have to deal with it. I appreciate all the guys support and I’m sure they will give me advice if things do go wrong (I’m sure they won’t though). Everyone else has chosen to be supportive and they don’t have to say anything if they don’t want. I really appreciate the support and advice I have been given by everyone!!

So you want to argue semantics. Saying "good-bye to something means it's going away. So after after getting circumcised, someones manhood is somehow less than it was before, according to you. You're just anti-circumcision, and want to discourage guys here who are considering having it done.
I did spend a lot of time reading about the possible risks before I had mine done, and recommend everyone considering one do the same. What you are doing is coming at it with the most extreme cases even possible because of your negative bias against circumcision. I may even go for a revision, so I've put my money on the table. You're just promoting fear and negatively. I had put my circumcision off, because of the disinformation, people like you had been spreading.
