painful erection on 13th day after circumcision

I am in my 13th day since the operation I have a couple of questions, I keep getting these nocturnal erections, actually, every time I close my eyes and fall asleep, is getting very painful I think because of the stitches being pull, I am taking pain killers before go to sleep , try not to drink and sleep on the side, i am sleeping very little cause of the fear at this point

do you have any idea on how to alleviate the pain?

the second question is about smoking, I have been told by my urologist to stop smoking before the surgery cause can interfere on healing and also look at the recovery from surgery.

I was wondering how long after the op can you go back to smoke (cause the no masturbating little sleep and no smoking is driving me crazy xD eheheh)

I would advise not returning to smoking at all. if you have stopped for this long, keep it up.

To reduce night time erections wear tight pants, this reduces movement and helped me a lot. Also, try and move your thoughts elsewhere, it helps.

Sleeping on my side helped with the erections. Try keeping you penis upright and sleep on your side oh and if the erection wakes you up GO pee before going back to sleep because if you ignore it the second time it wakes will really be unpleasant. Those erections only troubled me during the first week now I’m good (day 18)
