Hi I believe im in or through menopause last period about 10 years ago. recent post menopause bleed so to have biopsy soon. Ive read and suffered the huge list of menopause symptoms but wondered how you know when they are that or something else as many seen in other problems. does menopause affect thyroid and muscle weakness and atrophy or cause eye problems and numerous different skin problems. its so hard to differentiate.Also many women are diagnosed with fibromyalgia but could be menopause🤷‍♀️ or vice versa. gp said he would do a blood test to see if in menopause but I didnt know there was one 🤷‍♀️

Depending on age, and no questionable health issues, 10 yrs without a period..is usually an indication that someone is post menopause.

It is normal to have investigations if bleeding occurs after this…and hormone levels can also be checked.

Thankyou wobblybee I have other undiagnosed issues and whilst thyroid levels are now stable in height of symptoms thyroid out of whack.

Also told bowel was obstructing ovaries in ultrasound but nothing to worry about as if cancer they would be large and easy seen but I wonder if they should be checked because in reverse if atrophy is a problem then surely they should be seen 🤷‍♀️

🤔 After your GP has done tests, you may get a referral depending on results. As always…patience..
