High ANA (antinuclear antibodies)

Hello, I am new in this group, but have been searching for answers for years about chronic fatigue.

Over a decade ago, I thought I'd found the answer as I was diagnosed with a B12 deficiency, which is now supplemented with regular injections. For a few years this helped, but the last few years again, it's been getting much worse, so I am now struggling to cope with daily family life.

CFS has been discussed and many many blood tests have been made, and I have seen neurologist/immunologist/gastroenterologist/endocrinologist consultants.

One constant peculiarity which all these consultants have said is very unusual is I have a very high ANA result which has increased over the past 6 years and now remains very high, at a dilution 1:5120.

The result can not be attributed to other specific autoimmune antibodies or a specific disease. Is there anybody else, out there who has a persistently high ANA result? And if so, has a doctor given any advice about it?

Thank you for any insights you can share 🙏🙂

hi I also have high ANA that recently went up after I had covid and then long covid. I think it is related and I also think I had CFS undiagnosed for years. I also have autoimmune thyroid but my ANA was stable for years until I got covid. My doctors don’t know why it went up and referred me to a rheumatologist but I haven’t yet been called for an appointment.

Thanks for your feedback, I hope you can get some answers and not feeling too awful. It's hard to find answers. Take care 🙂
