Another trail race that I could not pass up for just $25. I went for the 25k distance. I also ordered the Chili for after the race since it is in November and probably freezing. One month after the Scotia Marathon. Really hoping I am still upright and intact by this point. What is wrong with us? Seriously?

I know, I’m just kidding. 😁 It’s an affliction but it’s a happy one.
Things are going alright for the mara prep. Last few weeks have included a 30 and 32 with a 21 break week. Next week is the final 34k push before taper. I may try a trail out with a buddy of mine for the 34.
You're there. Respect taper, every bit will count. I made rookie errors before my maiden marathon, won't repeat them again. I'll be travelling on 20 October but will give you all of my 'virtual' support.
That looks sweet (I had to check out the videos of the race🤓). It reminds me a lot of the fall trail race I ran last September. It was such a pretty treed course with all the leaves changing colour and running through piles of leaves. Unfortunately it isn't running this year. They also had post run chilli - a great fall post race meal 😋. Enjoy the event. I can't wait to hear all about it.
Thanks Sask. I hope some leaves are still on the trees by then:).I am looking forward to the chili! Of course this all hinges on me not falling apart at Scotia 😁. But it will be nice to have the next thing to focus on after the marathon.
Looks like a pretty cool trail run! And Chili on a cold day after a race will go down well I’m sure. 😊 How could you not run a race with a name like that.
The new Toronto Dufferin parkrun ‘s inaugural run was last Saturday. In Montreal we have a marathon age group podium runner come to ours and some pace bunnies. They are for everyone. Oops, that sounds too much like a promo!
Yeah the name kinda pulled me in I have to admit 😁. I never say no to chili!
I had no idea there was a Toronto park run now! I may go give it a try. I am out of the loop on the park run news. Sounds like the Montreal one is very well established.
In the last 7 or 8 weeks we’ve had between 60 and 107 participants a week which is good for us. We started with about 20 participants each week 2 years ago, many of whom were tourists. We’re now getting new locals all the time. 😊
Wow that sound great love it! We were looking at races at work yesterday (!) I coached (ish) my boss over last 2 years and now she's mad keen for all kind of races! 😂😂
I’m in long run territory now My last one was 26 km so i’m Expecting the plan to say at least 28k. Could be 30. I’m not training beyond 32 km That’s my cut off point 🙂
Good luck! I just finished my last long run yesterday. It was a 34k trail and very tiring but very beautiful as well. It had around 1500ft of elevation and was very technical so took us over 4 hrs to finish. Easier runs from here on in.
