I was diagnosed with Lupus a year ago. Just read a comment on brain fog and realised that I suffer from these. Can they be lessened?

They will tend to lessen with time, but in theory aspirin or any blood thinner will help if the problem is caused by APS. Any anti-inflamatory might also be beneficial these include the hydroxy which a lot of us take, also statins and Omeg 3 which are given for other problems also have an anti inflamatory effect. I take large amounts of omeg for my tri glycerides and have found them to be big help.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am off hydroxy as I had an allergic reaction to it....on prednisolone for the next month. I will try an include more fish in my diet to up my Omeg 3. Thanks for the tip.

Hi quietsoldier

I agree with Thaddeus, when you get your medication sorted you will get to an equilibrium, I was frightened when I was first diagnosed as I felt the cloud would never lift and I would not be able to think straight again. But keep positive, do your research, get as much time and information off the consultant, buy in to your treatment, be open minded to trying new things, listen to your body

Now when I feel the brain fog coming on it is usually because I have done too much and an over tired or I have been "normal" ill which has sent my Lupus into over-drive.

Keep on keeping on.
