Hi there don't know if this helps any but not only did I have sharp head pain I was also feeling nauseated and unwell Now as lupus often makes me unwell with headaches and everything else I put up with it until it got really bad and I was getting pain behind the left eye ,turned out it was temperal arteritis So just keep a check on this as we often just put our symptoms down to our wayward Wolf Take care

Too true, we often have new symptoms and think well if i wait long enough it will go away,, and often they do. I have felt too embarrassed at times to go to the Dr's again with something else that i know is inflammatory led, especially as he just gives me this look and shrug's his shoulders. However i learnt my lesson the hard way and ignored pain and a change in my body shape for 9 months until a lump was so large. Even then to confirm my Gp's reaction he did not even examine me! i had to go back 2 days latter and insist he did. Of course his face certainly changed very quickly into panic. After a very tense few weeks and extensive surgery it turned out to be a very large benign ovarian cyst related to the endometriosis i did not even realise i had as i had as I had not complained to the Gp about my heavy flooding periods either! I now see a different Gp at the practice who listens, understands and believes me.

Take care

Stray suggestion, may not be remotely relevant: sinusitis? Have you been checked for vasculitis?

Hi, I was having really bad headaches that bad that I would collapse. I was admitted to hospital where they did CT scans and a lumbar punctur. The pressure came back as elevated but nothing else. When admitted to the ward one of the doctors immediately recognised my symptoms and looked/felt around the back of my head and neck and shoulders. He said that the muscles in those areas were so tight that they were causing the headaches and the pain when I turned my head and the collapsing when I lifted something.

Physio and he also suggested massage. Indian head massage and neck, back and shoulder massage. Within a few weeks the muscles had released and the headaches were more manageable and I didn't collapse every time I picked up a drink.
