Write down all your symptoms, dates symptoms started.

Make a list of all the questions you would like answered.

At the end make sure that you have understood everything by repeating back what you have been told. Try and write down important information.

Its very usual to feel a bit nervous or pushed for time but try to make sure that you ask everything on your list. It may be a while before you see him/her again.

Some people find that it is useful to take a friend or family member with them. This person can remember what is said and could take notes for you.

Hope it all goes well!

Thank you, I will be taking my husband with me, otherwise I wouldn't have a clue what had been said :(

To be totally honest I really don't know what to ask!!!

I've seen that many specialist, who have all just said it not this or its not that, I really am just waiting for another specialist to tell me no it's not that!

I have a list of symptoms that my doctor asked me to 2 an a half years ago so got that out and will just need to add a few bits.

Thanks for info, take cake Mandy x

Hi Pollyanna, what Jude65 said is correct especially the part of having someone with you, take a list of medication & be honest about what is happening.

Hi Pollyana, dont be afraid to ask questions as I wish I had asked more at my first appointment but I did at my last one and the rheumatologist was lovely and answered them all.

Good luck

Hi Pollyanna,

All the above advice is well in order.Keep a note of all your symptoms and may be suspicions of anything you are not sure of,ask questions.More importantly try to relate your experiences the best way you can.

Goodluck
