Well, once again feeling absolutely aweful, going to bed hopefully to sleep.I am sure the meds are not helping. My GP increased my statins and since then have not felt at all well. Also, was told by reumy to up Hydroxy. The patient leaflet that comes with the statin info read that they could cause Lupus-like symptoms. My GP knows I have Lupus.Do I question my GP?The last time I did that I was told to go and read a book.Am I going mad,if I question my GP do I get struck off.I cannot afford a private consultation so,where do I go from here?Perhaps a good nights sleep might help[hopefully],Goodnight all.

Questions
So sorry to read that your not too well Binkey, I pray you sleep well tonight. As for the GP stuff - do you have another Dr in your practice you can see instead? I'm very fortunate, my GP is very good & always listens to me. I think you should be able to talk to your GP & get satisfactory answers & just because your persistant, dosen't mean your being aggresive & give him cause to get you struck off his list. If however, this happens, you are entitled to have an NHS GP so you will not have to go private. Please research this on the internet, it will help you stop worrying about it, I do hope you sleep well, please try not to worry about it
Hi Blinkey
In regard to Statin ( I take Simvastatin 20gm) and it does not state in mine that you get Lupus like Symptoms. But like most Meds you may or my not have a reacton.
With your Doctor, a lot of our Doctors Know very little about Lupus mainly the older ones,But lupus u/k have sent all dotors sugery a book for them to learn and use as a refference(Please forgive my Spelling). It is your body and you have the right to ask Q and they have a right to give you the A.
But be firm but alway polite
and its your right for you to have a NHS Doctor
Love & Sunshine
