i dont normally have a bad reaction to it and suffer from repeated infections so for me its more of an advatage to have it. i has swine flu before the vaccine came out and was increadablly poorly.

My consultant always checks with me each year that I've had my flu jab, it's especially advised if taking steroids or immunosuppressants. Also recommended is the pneumonia jab.I've had flu jab for the last 10 years with no problems except an occasional sore arm.

I have had lupus for 10 years, even though I was only diagnosed last year I have never been advised to have the flu jab. After reading both your comments I shall ring the docs tomorrow and make an appointment - thanks guys

I have always been encouraged to have the flu jab annually by my rheumatologist and GP. It certainly doesn't do any harm. Hope you manage to get booked in for one. :0)

My first jab i was ill, that was 10yrs ago and have not had any more reaction since.

This years was the best did not feel a thing or have a slight sweeling.

Its better to have the jab and perhaps be a little sore, than to have the flu with the posability of having a Lupus flair

all the best
