my daughter has sle and von wilibrands disease and can't be left on her own because she faints, she misses school because of pain in her neck and back and sometimes needs assistance dressing, she's constantly exhausted and is becoming a recluse and she was refused dal and I'm not sure why. I think depends on how well the consultant for her sle reported back to dla. If dr gave strong evidence of how her sle effects her daily living she shoundnt have been refused. I would mention your frustration to her consultant & appeal, sounds like she really deserves it. Hope this helps.
I think it's terrible. It always seems to be the sick or disabled that suffer with the government why not the self inflictors
