CAN MEDS MAKE ME IRRITABLE????

im just asking but is anyone also on edge? im really snappy with everyone and i feel like an ass afterwards. im not usualy like this. it breaks my heart that im like this. im not depressed that i know of just very annoid.

Hi Hester, I seem to remember that you are on a high dose of steroids right now -am I right? Well these will DEFINITELY make you feel snappy! They are pumping your adrenals like crazy to suppress your immune system (my crude understanding anyway) and this will make you short tempered and angry (they effect me like this). So your friends and family are going to have to be very understanding!! xx

thanx dryad, i feel like i can start ww3 with my mouth. lol. and the next im crying. and all i want to do is eat. i will explain to my hubby what you said. its the only logic i can put with how im feeling.

Yep, steroids!!! I've had times where I have been rocking in a corner going nuts, times where I have wanted to drive my car into the oncoming lane, times where I have gotten scary hairy, strange fat lumps, always hungry... very hungry! (did I mention hungry?), therefore, weight gain, horribly moody, not at all myself...

ahhh, the wonderful days of prednisone. I was on it for 10 years (dose up and down lots). I did wean off of them completely so don't let anyone tell you that it has to be forever and you can never get off of them... that's what I was told! i hate steriods ,but they can obviously be a necessary evil. hang in there; this too shall pass!
