Kidney infection

How long do they last? In 4hrs it went from a water infection starting to a full on kidney infection?! Im on antibiotics now (feeling sick n dizzy),can't drink cranberry juice because Im on warfarin. Any tips to help ease the pain??

Hi, I often have the same problems as you, try Robinsons Barley Water and really drink lots to try flush it through. I found that painkillers didnt really ease the pain but slow release tramadol helped a little, often a hot water bottle on my back soothed the discomfort. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for replying, Im now in hospital - antibiotics raiaed my INR & caused a brain bleed. Never a dull momwnt living with LUPUS!

Could I ask what antibiotics you were given. Poor you so frightening for you. I get UTI all the time I am waiting for investigations to my bladder. I hope you feel better soon.

Trimethoprim. I came in friday and see a different doc every time and its a different diagnosis evry time so I have no idea whats going on but politely asked the last one I saw to conferre with the others and only give me a diagnosis when its conclusive as theyre making my head spin! He was taken aback but saw my point!

Good for you, Nanuuk, we have to be more than just a guess, and that's what it feels like when we get so many different answers. Hope all went well and you are back home, plugging on.
