I don't think anyone could make a recommendation as we are all different. I can no longer tolerate alcohol (whether it is Lupus or meds I am not sure) and had dreadful headaches when I used to try to have the odd glass on special occasions.

Why not ask your pharmacist ? Boots pharmacists are very helpful if you call a Boots branch.

I hope you have a lovely evening

I agree, best to ask at Boots or other chemist.

I used to 'binge drink' every so often, but since last year, I went off my favourite alcoholic drink :( & even all other types of alcohol! I think it's due to my Lupus that I've gone off drinking alltogether now & I suffer terribly if I even have 1 drink!! so i've given it up, can't see the point in drinking anything I don't enjoy the taste of anymore, or cause of how ill I get after & why make myself iller than I am already! I'm not on any meds, so know that I don't suffer from mixings meds & alcohol.

I bet you feel like you're 'missing out' if you don't have a drink, but you're not really, as better to 'miss out' on poisoning your body further! & there's much nicer tasting drinks out there than alcohol!

Hope you have a wonderful evening, whether you have 'a glass of vino', or not :0)

I wouldn't recommend testing it on a night out! Try it at home first, with someone else around, before you try it out on the town... Especially if you haven't had a drink for a long time!

I drink with pregabalin and hydroxy. Caused me to feel very hungover the first couple of times but now it's fine.

Asking a pharmacist if there are any direct contraindications is good, but they are probably just going to say not to just in case there is a problem. The only way to know is to try it really.

I have a glass of wine or whatever I fancy now and again. But I am not on the same medication as you. Amitriptyline may enhance the effect of alcohol but you are only having the odd glass and I presume you wont be driving that night anyway. Try it and see and have a good night.
