Hi there is a contact in stoke called Linda Bache 01782 822820 and you can join the west midlands group at westmidlandslupus.co.uk they have lots of info and a regular news letter. It really helps to know you are not on your own. Cx

Hi Moontreegoddess,

We don't currently have a support group in the Stoke-on-trent area. The west midlands group attempted to re-start it last year, but it appears there wasn't enough interest at the time.

We do have members in the Stoke area. If you contact Yvonne, the chair of the west midlands group at yvonne.wmlg@sky.com then she may be able to help you get in touch with others in your area.

As mentioned by Moondance, we do also have our trained lupus contact, Linda, in Stoke who you are free to call and chat with. Again, she may know more people in your area.

Best wishes,

Paul

Thank you for all your replies. I've been feeling very down and lonely. Unfortunately when I feel like that all I really want to do is hide away. I wish the hospital had been more helpful and caring. I don't even want to bother them again as my nurse didn't ring when she said she would and when I chased her up on it she mentioned me benefiting from steroid injections and told me I'd get a letter in the week and that was nearly 3 weeks ago and I've not got a letter yet and don't have a clue about steroid injections. They don't really seem to care. Thank you all again :) x
