I would so appreciate contact with others in the same circumstances.

I have and am, on a mission to educate my local Consultants.

One of whom has actually telephoned me back at home on a few occaisions.

He has allowed me to have The Lupus UK Christmas Brochures put in his Rheumi clinic and is looking forward to receiving some of the books they sell.

Things really changed for me when he pysically saw first hand the Discoid Leisions I was covered in and how my hands were locked in spasm and other joints were really swollen

Such a differemce to being told I was mad and that I had nothing wrong for so many years.

I have recently joined and would love to be intouch with people around here. I have only 1 friend, a busy son who was convinved I had gone mad when I became too ill to work. and a live-in carer (father figure) who has been my hero.

I lived in the USA for 10 yrs returning in 2000. Went straight into Senior management then became too ill to work. Moved here to be near husbands family, however with Drs saying there was nothing wrong with me my husband left and his family disowned me because I was driven to trying to kill myself.
