hi hometeam2016 I’ve had lupus since 2002. I was diagnosed because I had pleurisy /fibromyalgia. Since the early years I had problem with my lungs. My breathing is erratic at best. I’ve always had phlegm and couldn’t get it shifted. Some days I can’t walk very far for I think my lungs will burst. I had two chest infections and pneumonia since July last year which all affected my lungs. I started going to the salt room 6 weeks ago and my breathing has improved greatly and I have no problem shifting phlegm now. I can sleep on my back now which I couldn’t do for years because of pain in my lungs when I lay down. I check my own oxygen levels now and it’s well improved. I wish you well🤗

Hiya how do they diagnose lupus please and my only symptom is the oxygen drop oh a cough constantly and I do have a red rash looks like a burn at times accros my face

Hi lupus is determined by specific blood tests which can be done by your consultant if you have been referred to one. If not your gp should refer you to the appropriate department. Best of luck.

..When you say oxygen that drops do you mean your blood oxygen saturation level is NOT at or above 95%?

NORMAL BLOOD OXYGEN saturation should be between 95% and 100% usually measured by a fingertip Pulse Oximeter.

You need to eliminate covid 19!

Oxygen levels can drop with covid infection.

You should see a doctor.

I have done tests there negative , I’m under a hospitial for tests etc and yes when walking around my oxygen sat can go to 85-87 I then stop and it goes back to 96-97
