Hi Sunshine634. It is really important to get advice from the health professionals and hopefully they can advise/guide you in the right direction. My daughter is now 28yrs old. But when when I had her, I was on Azathioprine and prednisolone so I don't know much about methotrexate and pregnancy. I was taken off Azathioprine, but had to be on a low dose of prednisolone (5mg). Everyone's story is different, and I don't know what you're personal circumstances are. But it sounds like you're a positive person witch always helps. Good luck.
So I had my first daughter before I had Lupus. I was very ill after I had her and then was diagnosed a year later. She was also 7 weeks premature. So during my second pregnancy, I was stable throughout but I was looked after (by my gp and consultant) as a high risk pregnancy, and also I gave up work. I did however have to bed rest in my 3rd trimester because I had started to have contractions and was at risk of having another baby prematurely. The biggest risk is, once you give birth. Apparently once you give birth, your hormones surge you are at risk of having a massive flare up. So they gave me a steroid injection as soon as I gave birth. And I was fine. Throughout the years my lupus has been up and down, but not because I had another baby.Having my second daughter was the best thing I've ever done, despite the risks etc.
Thank you for sharing your story with me I know everyone is different but until last year I'd never even worried about anything now it's like my body is at times fragile and I guess it poses some caution.
I'm happy you have two healthy children that's amazing!!
