I have been diagnosed with tumid lupus and am currently being investigated for SLE (DR said 99.9% I have it as showing all symptoms etc). I have just tested positive for covid today.
Has anyone got any advise? I’ve never had covid, let alone Covid with lupus and I’m terrified this is going to make me SO unwell and I live alone. I’m currently taking prednisolone, Hydroxychloroquine and nortryptaline.
Thank you, and merry Christmas 🤍

so sorry to hear you have Covid I had it a couple of weeks ago . I can’t lie I did feel dreadful but managed to keep temperature down with asprin ( I’m allergic to paracetamol ). Mum is retired nurse so said one of most important things is to keep temp down . if you’re unsure about what medication to take to help definitely ring 111 as out of hours dr will call you back .
Some Drs Surgeries I think supply anti virals you can take as soon as test positive . It may be worth ringing 111 as I’m sure they will have access to that information for you and supply them if you are allowed .
Lots of rest , lots of water but try and move about gently when you can if you are chesty .
Takes care and fingers crossed it passes in few days . I’m sure you’ll get some helpful replies 😘xx
Keep warm & take plenty of liquid & hanker down rest & watch Christmas films. It is scary being newly diagnosed but we are all here to help & offer virtual hugs.😍😍
Hopefuully the prednisolone is calming down the lupus Dr's wont keep a high dose for long and with covid get plenty of rest and fluids and try and eat a light diet and hope you start feeling better soon
