I would like to thank everyone for their very helpful tips on getting toenails cut properly without having to pay so much to visit the podiatrist, I have had success but do need to do them again for them to be the way they should be. Thank 😊 you.

may I be nosey and ask what worked best?

I usually just stick my feet in a bowl of soapy warm water for an hour, then cut and file, but if there’s a better way, I’m interested

Hi joanneM200 sorry for the late reply I'm moving to a smaller place in the new year and my daughters have been sorting what I won't need to take, watching them has tired me out 😄 I tried the cider vinegar which was good but they still needed more so I had this brainwave to try washing up liquid, I put plenty in the bowl and soaked for a while and the smaller toe nails were soft to cut and I did manage to cut part of the large toe nails and then filed them. Hope this helps.
