They are autoantibodies for the diagnosis of Myositis.

Have a read:

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/310...

β€œβ€¦Anti-OJ autoantibodies are rare myositis-specific autoantibodies that have been described to target isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase. …”

Hello Tiggtwoos, I hope you are keeping wellI have recently had Myositis bloods taken on 30/5/23 with Respiratory Consultant- referred by Rheumatologist as Chest CT scan showed inflammation in right lower lung 🫁 It takes one month for results as bloods sent off outside hospital.

I also had Repeat Chest CT scan, MRI of my knee on 7/6/23. Reason is because for I have become very sonked - joint pain and weakness, which is different to MCTD, after walking or standing I need to sleep - literally. My fatigue has become exhaustion.

My whole body needs to rest, but on instant vibe. At night time, I often wake with glasses still on my face. Crushing fatigue which stops you in your tracks.

Along with this breathlessness, and chest infections (I do not smoke) and couging up Spurtun) I need to take Prednislone intermittently.

I am awaiting results but Respiratory Consultant believes I have interstitial lung 🫁 Disease- linked to MCTD - Mixed Connective Tissue Dis-order. He explained Fibrosis/scarring on CT scan. Consultant looking for any evidence of ground-glass changes.

Myositis bloods will confirm oxygen levels in body, how tendons, muscles, ligaments are affected. i.e weakness, muscle wasting etc which MRI will also confirm.

I hope this provides some insight.....I will update you, when results are back. Hopefully next week. Respiratory Consultant returns from leave then.

Warm Hugs πŸ«‚

thank you so much for sharing and I feel for you going through this . I can totally relate to the crushing fatigue . It happens when I’m driving too and talking to people . I’m waiting for a follow up appointment with rheumatologist as recently had scleritis. I don’t have a cough but wake up every day with splitting headache .

Look forward to hearing from you next week and good luck 🀞 xxx

must be careful of the cloudy skies. My unpredictable flares were after a rare storm in cloudy weather. You would think we would get a break but clouds don’t do the trick.
