Hi. I don't have a diagnosis but i saw the dermato last week for rash anx itchy skin that last for more than a month. The same day the rash start, i wasn't able to bend one of my finger and all the hand was a bit swollen. I had small red spot everywhere on my hand only. I'm used to have urticaria few time a year and i took the medication for it but it did nothing. The dermato just saw the picture because the only time the rash go away was that day and told me to go back for a biopsie if it show up again. He change my medication for urtucaria to something stronger. I still have red dot but i was waiting for more to be sure. Can they found the problem with just one spot or they need to take piece of skin in different spot to be sure they don't miss? I also go urticaria for the first time in my life just to walk 10 minutes outside in the sun. I have other medical issues that are unsolved. They say wait until it's really bad. The thing is i gain the fonction in my finger when i have less dot on my skin and the more spot i have the harder it get to bend my finger. Someone had something like this?

hi. I get really itchy rashes that usually start as little red pin size dots that join up eventually to become sore inflamed and extremely itchy patches. It’s almost always linked to sun exposure, and can be followed by a flare up of my lupus. The rash can appear anywhere where there’s exposed skin. I’ve learned that prevention is better than cure so use of high factor sunscreen ir covering up with light clothing is a must. If the rash develops I use fexafenadine as an antihistamine and a steroid based cream to settle the inflammation. The antihistamine takes the edge off the severe itchiness but it doesn’t stop it. I find it takes me at least 5 days of no sun exposure before it starts to settle. At its most severe I have needed a short course of oral steroid to get the rash and flare up under control. Try using SPF 50 and avoiding the sun to see if this helps. Best wishes.
