PARE webinar with Prof Schneider on treatment of lupus

In case you are interested, you can watch a recording of Professor Matthias Schneider delivering a webinar called "Latest advances in treatment and management of Lupus / Connective Tissue Diseases – sharing relevant developments with a patient audience" on the PARE website.

Prof Schneider is a rheumatologist who used to be president of the German Society of Rheumatology, was a board member of the German SLE patient group, and has been a medical advisor for Lupus Europe since 2004.

To access it, you first have to register here: pare.eular.org/login/index.php . When your registration is approved you will get a confirmation email (this can take a day or two), and then you can access the site. Prof Schneider's talk is in the "Medical Webinars" section of the website. You can click "webinar recordings" towards the end of that page to access the video.

Although the talk is designed for patients, it is quite technical, so if you have any questions please post them and I will do my best to help! (If you have a question about something specific he says, if you could post the timestamp of when it happens that would be great so I can find it more easily).

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for posting this, which I watched and found most interesting & informative.

I also watched 2 other webinars on there, one about osteoarthritis (which I have in various places), plus another discussing osteoarthritis & rheumatoid arthritis; my husband has RA. These were equally useful & well worth watching.

Pare-eular is new to me but, once I was eventually accepted & logged in, I can see why you shared the information. I even told the Advanced Physio Practitioner I saw today at the Chronic Pain Clinic about it. She wasn’t familiar with it but was very interested to look it up!

I'm glad you found the webinars useful and interesting. It's not something I'd come across either, but I suspect it might sometimes get missed when people are searching for videos as you have to already be approved to login before you can find them. I will keep an ear out for any other potentially interesting ones from them!
