Hi everyone. I apologise for not posting much but this year has been tough and losing both my beautiful boys has hurt so much. Finlay has brought us so much joy. He is a real live wire and makes us laugh so much on a daily basis. I took these photo today to share him with you all. My little Welsh dragon with needle teeth, dangerous farts ๐Ÿคข and a real cuddle monster xxx

Lovely! So sorry to hear about you losing both your furbabies this year. I too lost mine about 6 months ago. They take up so much room in our heart! I have a new furbaby now, and it might sound silly to say, but I really do need himโ€ฆI have a permanent, animal-shaped void in my heart that nothing else can fillโ€ฆglad you are getting so much joy from your boy. โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŒป

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand perfectly the need for a bundle of fur. For me it really is a must for my maternal instincts that I never was able to utilise. Our boys were our reason to get out of bed and when we lost Dylan in September we were not only heartbroken but lost. Finlay has so many traits that Brodie had it is uncanny but warms our hearts xx

I love that Finlay is carrying on some parts of Brodie and keeping him present in your home. I was not able to have children either, and furbabies definitely help with that!

Yes it is a huge comfort for us. I am so sorry that you too were unable to have children. It is a pain like no other. Xx

Morning CecilyParsley What a gorgeous boy. I'm so sorry that you lost both of your babies. It's hard when you lose an animal yet alone 2.

You do realise you have a Spaniel there don't you? The farts will get worse, so will the cuddles and then there's that beautiful face and rabbit soft ears and the loyalty and.......he's a beautiful boy..

CecilyParsley profile image
CecilyParsley in reply to CavendishCool

Yes I have teeth marks everywhere, hokes in my clothes as he โ€œ helpsโ€ me get dressed, holes in the garden, plants chewed and his boundless energy and zoomies are hilarious but the farts ๐Ÿคข. My friend came to visit this week and she was actually gagging. I have had cockers all my adult life but my goodness Finlay is sooooo stinky for a little boy. That said he is just adorable and we love him dearly already xx

CavendishCool profile image
CavendishCool in reply to CecilyParsley

That's good as long as you're fully prepared. I've had Springers all my life and I always remember with my last one asking her to calm down. My late Dad used to say "calm is not in the How to be a Spaniel" handbook. In fact she (Milly) was only calm when she breathed her last. So enjoy your fruit loop of a stinky spaniel. Their love of life and loyalty to their Spaniel parents is just wonderful. Disclaimer: all other breeds are lovely, I know I had a Lhaso at the same time as the Springer. Enjoy a long, happy and stinky life with your boy.

Bless your Milly, I understand completely, my Brodie was wagging his tail and trying to lick the vet as he went into total kidney failure in May. Mad, joyful, wonderful dogs. Strangely Dylan loved a walk but was never as manic.I love all dogs but my heart always goes to a cocker spaniel xx

I am so sorry that you lost both your precious fur babies. I have never owned a dog but keep hamsters and, living only an average of 18-24 months, have lost a lot of little furbabies. ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

Finlay is adorable. At least with his stinky farts you have someone to blame any sprout parps on this Christmas! Hope you have a lovely Christmas and that your rheumatology appointment goes well next month. Xx ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿคข๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ

I love hamsters, such charming little animals. Until we rescued a rabbit, I never realised how intelligent they could be and such character. I broke my heart when she passed. It must be so hard for you to love and lose them so quickly? Finlay is a devil dog, donโ€™t let that innocent face fool you lol He bit Neil on the nipple this week, I was crying with laughter as Neil howled in pain and hid under the duvet with Finlay on top of him trying to dig him out ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚, I wish you and your lovely hamsters a very Merry Christmas. I hope you get the answers you need.

Rheumatology in my area seems to be very stretched.

I used to have 3 monthly joint appointments along with interstitial lung disease consultant.this has gone to phone appointments with lung consultant.

I got a phone call yesterday, saying that the lead consultant has been transferred to the emergency lung wards,so I will be talking to someone else.

I expressed my disappointment,as I felt U had to.

Iโ€™m making my list and have to count my blessings.

I have had phone calls returned.

Am on immunosuppressants,

I have been on Nintendanib for my lung disease.

Iโ€™m still unwell, but they canโ€™t do any more than they do.

Enjoy your furry friend,we canโ€™t have a dog because of the walking.

I use ambulatory oxygen ,also use a Walker so I wouldnโ€™t be able to cope with a puppy.

My15 year old cat is aging so I dread him going.

Apologies for the essay,Iโ€™m going to write my list of questions tonight.

Im hoping you get answers x

Just adorable in that alligator suit! I got a chihuahua this past year. Have had to learn a whole new group of health issues. Lino has just recovered from surgery and is back to his mischievous self.

Merry Christmas to you!

Cecily - will get an under fifty nice person to post for me. So sweet you want to see Lino. He is my first dog and I treat him like a child. The surgery was removal of one anal gland. It got so scarred after an abscess that it wasnโ€™t functioning. He is doing great now!

He had to come to two doctorโ€™s appointments and a hygienist appointment because he couldnโ€™t be left alone with collar. The funny part is none even missed a bit about it. The colorectal surgeon remarked on how he must have one tiny anus.๐Ÿ˜‚. Lino is four pounds and vet said it actually was the smallest gland he had taken out.

Message me if you want some detailed examples of how I have gotten help from doctors and overcome resistances. It only took thirty years.

Hope that beautiful puppy brings much joy in the new year!

๐Ÿ˜˜ Kay

CecilyParsley profile image
CecilyParsley in reply to KayHimm

Those anal glands cause so much discomfort. Poor Dylan had to have his done regularly bless him. When he had his CT scan they said one of his glands had a nodule and needed to be removed. After being cut from his chest to his penis to remove the tumour we refused to have that done too. As it was he bounced through the surgery but the chemo caused severe pancreatitis and as he had T cell lymphoma they advised without the chemo he would pass in weeks not months. We just could not bare to see him suffer any longer so we did the best thing we could but it was so painful for us. Dylan loved us so much he fought the final injection and was gasping and jerking. I donโ€™t think we have ever been so traumatised. Just heartbreaking. I was actually screaming. Dogs are family. How lovely that Lino was able to attend your appointments with you bless him. He will feel so much better for getting rid of it xx

adorable ๐Ÿ˜We all know our fur babies can't be replaced but we need to direct our love to another, I know my boys time is now limited but my life will always have space for a dog and I know you will give all your love to Finlay the same as your boys and in return much love and joy from Finlay. You have a big heart and I hope there are many more memories to make with Finlay to put with those of Ryan and Brodie, I totally like you love animals and will always need that animal shaped void filled with a best friend.
