covid booster after covid

I had covid in September, I was bedbound for a week and never felt so ill and then on antibiotics for a week after that. It took weeks to feel better. I knew I had covid before testing as I felt like I did when I had the jabs. I’ve been offered the booster again so I’m in 2 minds of whether to get this one. On one hand I never want to feel like I did when I had covid, but hopefully I wouldn’t be that bad next time, on the other hand I’m fed up feeling so ill for days after the jabs. Not really much point to this post but interested in what other people have done

I can fully understand your dilemma.

Each time I have had the jab I have got even worse. I was in bed for two days and flat out on the settee for the following 3. Absolutely dreadful.

When I had Covid I was positive for 14 days and spent 12 of those days in bed. It took weeks after to get back to “normal “.

Is it worth having the jab? I am on immunosuppressants and steroids so I don’t even know if it’s working. But I think 2 weeks positive with the jab how long would I be poorly if I didn’t have it? That’s what swung it for me.

This time I prepared my family meals for the next few days as I knew I would be out of action. It was worth it presuming the jab could save your life x

I personally would have the covid booster. In September 2021 I ended up in ICU with covid, I’m lucky to be here. I had my 6th covid jab and Flu jab a couple of weeks again. Yes I was in bed for a day after having them, but I would prefer that to hospital.

I had covid in September and booked my booster for as soon as possible after. I was quite unwell with covid but the antivirals worked to limit its impact (still took me the best part of a month to recover from covid and then the subsequent flare I am still slowly recovering). I've been very ill with all my boosters similar to how you describe but this time was only unwell for an evening/day and much less severe than the other boosters which was a pleasant surprise. You may find that your recent covid means the booster is kinder to you. Good luck!

I'm sick since my first dose many month with difficulty to walk. I'm waiting blood test bit i'm sure it's start an immune desorder of some sort. Not the same since one year. Have two page of weird symptom. I'm not anti vaccin but for this one i'm gonna pass my turn. Now i can't take any medication with the same ingredient in it without finishing in a wheelchair. The polyéthylène glycol is in almost all medication. Big fun for me. I'm reacting now to antihistaminique and everything. Can take what the doctor prescripe because of it.
