Hi All,

Thought i let every know that I got my new distance glasses on Sat at Specsavers. So , when I put it on whoa! huge difference in focus compared to what it was at the eye test. I could get only clarity at mid distance but struggling at further distances my eyes was getting more painful to focus.and was starting to get some headaches. I am still persevering with them will need to keep on at least for 2 weeks if still not good will have to go for a retest again. To check my eyes. If feels as though there is slight distortion at the distance. which is why I am not getting clarity. every is just flat.

Now with my Rheumy, my appt with her she took my blood test taken from June /july this year. went through it and found that my Alisa was neg . but there was another test was positve . I was still showing low increase of CRP. She was not too concern about it . I did mention to her about my excessive thirst and dryness no comments came from her she did look that my Blood test -Glucose was neg. So that ruled out any suspicion of being diabetic.

Then I mention to her about my contant pain on my legs and feet including my hips and back . She went through my MRI notes and XRays and found one. taken in 2019, I shown a problem with my back lumber problem So she suspects there is further degeneration of the lumber and and want to check my hips and bone to make sure my bone density is ok ,wants to do further MRI but wants to discus this with my Gp as I am still under Physio care!

So , We wait to hear what she actually thinks of my excessive thirst problem you never know She might do a brain MRI whislt they are at it 😅😂..

In the mean time I keep drinking and I am so exhausted. It is nice to be back driving though . Meanwhile hubby is not well. he has a nasty cyst on his back and I have been dealing with it the pass few days . He has been one antibiotics his 2nd lot now. Seeing the nurse today hopefully to get this cyst sorted out. Got my flu Jab . Booked my Covid jab on the 7th Oct all being well.

So much backlog of my sewing /quilting but it coming along thought I post one of my recent ones for you they are not quite complete as yet but just waiting to be sewn up. Elephant has got a few finishing touches to do and so has the squirrel.

Hope all of you have a good week what rest of it.

Can I make a suggestion - rather than persevere with your new specs, go to a different, preferably independent optician if such a thing still exists, and ask for an opinion. Both I and my daughter on separate occasions got new specs and could not see properly with them and got headaches. My wonderful optician in Scotland took one look and said the lenses had not been centred properly. You know the bit of the exam where they measure the distance between the centre of your eyes? It is to be sure the eye is looking through the right bit of the lens. Even if it is a tiny bit "out" you will not be able to focus properly.

I was lucky - my lenses were very large and it was possible to recut them for a much smaller frame. My daughter had been back to the opticians where she had got hers and they were totally unhelpful - because of course it was likely to cost them to replace the lenses. That's why I say go for a second opinion.
