hi. I woke up with a malar rash august 23 and it’s been here since. It’s mild - it almost looks like I just have rosy cheeks/over my nose. I’ve had a couple days in between, specially after sitting under my dentist’s fluorescent light for an hour as the hygienist slowly did her work and updated my X-rays, where it was extremely inflamed. On the days it’s been more mild, up close you can see the edges are slightly raised/inflamed. It’s all symmetrical. Anyway, it’s been mildly itchy. But I find when I’m exercising and I get sweaty, it’s so uncomfortably itchy. Does anyone else find sweat makes their rash even more itchy? What do you do to help?

malar rash- even more itchy when sweating?
Hi my name is Wolf,I went through this when I could still go to the gym and had not just the rash over my nose but all over my back, chest and on my shins. After a shower I literally had to lay down on my bed either in absolute agony with a burning sensation or an itchy feeling all over to the point of making my skin bleed. This was with a cool shower, warm shower or hot shower, the temperature didn’t matter and neither what I washed myself in. Trust me I tried every product under the sun. One night during one of these attacks my granddaughter was sleeping over and I noticed she had Sudocrem for her nappy rash. I applied copious amounts over my affected areas and the ichyness stopped within seconds. So I then used to go to my gym have a shower, drive quickly home and apply Sudocrem. I now only get the rashes very rarely and haven’t had a rash on my face for about 15 years but when a rash does appear I have my Sudocrem handy! It worked for me. I also take Fexofenadine 180 mg for any allergies that may cause the rash. I don’t mind taking it as it goes with all the other tablets I’m taking and one more doesn’t really bother me now. I hope this helps a little.
Keep Well, Keep Safe and Keep Fighting!
All my best Wolf_1 🐺🦋😞💤
