Thanks for that. I'm seriously considering applying but will wait until the new format starts in my area, which is June.

June? are you in Angus? I applied for PIP [2nd time, 0 points the first time] back in December hoping it wouldn't get assessed until the ADP came in. My PIP came back in April enhanced for both no face 2 face or phone call. Might be worth applying now as there is such a long wait yours won't get seen until June anyway, plus you will get backdated lump sum if you get it. I wondered if mine was so easy because of living in Angus which is due to get ADP in June. Go for it now. even if you have to go for MR or tribunal which is unlikely it should go through with the Scottish changes. Check the UK ME and chronic illness benefits advice group on facebook.

Hi, I'm North Lanarkshire. Thanks for the information, unfortunately I came off FB years ago but I've got a link to do a test run to see how I get on. It's difficult as although on bad days I can struggle, I can still do most things albeit it can take longer. I think yes I could be eligible then when things are better, I think no way I am

you need to answer all questions in percentages. eg I can't do xxx 50% of the time. don't say I can do something 50% of the time as they don't go passed I can. to score points you need to be unable to do something at least 50% of the time. For me I didn't want to "score" myself by ticking their boxes so I gave a long answers. on extra paper [name and national insurance number on all pages] and wrote "see attached pages" in each answer space. I got full mobility because there was a court case a while back which someone won because although they could walk they couldn't do so without pain. I said I could not walk without pain 100% of the time although I did push myself to go further. If you need any help message me. good luck

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your offer. I'll do the test first and see what that says but I'm sure I'll definitely need to ask for your help. Thanks again 😁

The Benefits and Work site takes you through every question and gives prompts as to what qualifies and why. It costs £19 a year but worth every penny.

I haven't heard of that, how do you access it?

It is benefits and work.co.uk . Best money I ever spent. It really helped me focus on what I actually cannot do. Depressing when it is broken down but it is essential. We do tend to over estimate how much we compensate for things. Claiming PIP is all about what a person could do continuously and in a reasonable timescale. Xx

Thanks very much for the information, I'll definitely go onto it. I agree about over compensating, in ends up being the norm and hard to differentiate x

I really strongly suggest you join benefits and work site ,I've just renewed my subscription ,they show you how to do it ,you can subscribe for one year if you want to ,there is a discount at the moment it's about £13 yes that's a lot when on benefits but believe me it's worth it ,they basically walk you through the pip form what to do how to do it ,don't answer questions with one line ,you need to put down what problems you have and how it affects your day to day living ,I've been on pip for a long time now and no top benefits for both ,even after two light touch reviews, plus anything that you use day to day to help you even if its an electronic can opener put it down ,it all helps to go to things in your favor, i hope this helps and good luck to you .
