Social prescribing

I am a nurse practitioner in GP land in the UK. Social prescribing was new to us in primary care, a new service just as the pandemic broke, and the service provided has been enormous and varied. So many individuals and their significant others helped with finances, low mood, signposting to various outside agencies and so much more. I am so grateful for the help out social prescribing colleagues provide in our area.

I agree, definitely has helped my family and anything that helps take the strain of an already overwhelmed nhs can’t be a bad thing.
