Long story so apologies. Diagnosed with lupus 2009 after birth of my son who was delivered by c section. 2011 chronic inflammation of Crp and esr with a neutrophil count of 0. Emergency antibiotics resolved issue. Recurrent infections occurred, very general, eventually out on long-term low dose antibiotic therapy. This has been 10 years now and I’m having more breakthroughs, resistance to current antibiotic. Rheumy recently tried taking me off, guess what esr/Crp jumped when on alternative full dose treatment resolved. Rheumy now discharged me to haematologist thinking something rare underlying. I am so tired of being pushed from pillar to post. I have know for so long there is something underlying and I struggle to fight off general bacterium. Does anyone have any knowledge of this as I am becoming scared something will happen which will lead to sepsis as I have no confirmed diagnosis for these infections! Driving me crazy!

Oh bless you. I am so sorry. I get recurring UTI’s, nasal infections and cellulitis so I empathise so much with you and you have so much more to contend with than me. I truly hope the haematologist can help you discover the root cause and treat you to give you some much needed respite xx
