4th vaccine during flare of costochondritis
Costochonritis is rotten I know. I can only tell you what has happened to me but of course we both know that this is no guarantee of what might unfold for you. I have been living with active disease (UCTD) since my flu jab last October. One manifestation in significant costochondritis both around the sternum and other rib joints. I put off having my Covid booster until December as I was worried. I finally sought advice from the specialist nurse and GP who encouraged me to have it. I didn't feel any worse after the booster.I have ended up being on steroids since January but I honestly think this was from the flu jab which the Drs recognise has been a trigger for me (third year on a trot). To put your mind at rest is it worth chatting to your specialist nurse or GP, they will certainly be best to advise you. Hope that helps a little. x
Hi, hope you’re coping alright. That’s a very annoying pain. I’ve had my 4 jabs, and had more short term side effects (fever, headache, tiredness) during my last two jabs. Something to consider if you’re unwell now. Also, important to make sure that the pain isn’t mimicking something else. Any chance of getting in touch with your consultant? Good luck ☺️
