I have been diagnosed with lupus and my feet and legs are slowly changing colour. It's like there are dark spots that are coming from the inside of my body. I have used the creams and ointments that my Dr. prescribed but it keeps on getting worse a d worse. I will appreciate any help.

Living with Lupus and my Feet and legs are slowly changing colour.
Hi. I have Lupus and the accompanying range of rashes. I'm not a medical practitioner. Has the doctor said what is causing the rash. One of the rashes I get on my legs and feet is called Dermatitis Stasis, as I understand it it's caused by poor lymphatic drainage. I also get photosensitivity rashes if I expose my legs to sunlight. Sometimes I get a rash if I'm flaring If the Dr has run out of options have they considered referring you to dermatology.
Hi sthethela87
Has your ruematologist seen this ?
Hard to see , but looks like vasculitis , blood cell leakage . .
I suggest you have a checked out by another docter .

Hi sthethela87,
I'd advise to speak to your rheumatologist, if you have their email send them pictures. Asking your gp for a refferal to dermatologist always takes too long to wait but pretty sure your rheumatologist should know the cause. Hope it goes away soon xx
