Consultant privately re diagnosis Lupus

Hi all looking forward to gaining information from posts and members of the group. I am looking to consult privately a Rheumatologist who has a specific interest in Lupus I live in Scotland West coast but willing to travel if need be. Would anyone have any previous dealings with Consultants in this field?

It is a lengthy waiting list to be seen by an NHS Rheumatologist at the moment.

Hello Katrina. I live in Lothian and we have a lupus nurse at the Western in Edinburgh who runs a clinic and consults over the phone. I think there was a similar service at the Southern General so it’s probably now at the Queen Elizabeth. You could try and find out and it could be a good starting point. Good luck.
