Hi everyone,

NICE is beginning the appraisal process to decide whether a new lupus treatment, anifrolumab, should be approved for use by NHS England. You can read more about anifrolumab here - lupusuk.org.uk/anifrolumab/

As a stakeholder, we will be preparing a response to the consultation and nominating experts for the appraisal committee meeting which will take place in February 2022.

To help us with our response, we would like to speak with as many people as possible who have personal experience of this treatment. So far, in the UK, this treatment has only been available as part of clinical trials (primarily the TULIP trials).

If you have been treated with anifrolumab, please email paul@lupusuk.org.uk and share your experiences. All emails will be confidential.

Watching this avidly, Paul.

Were the trials conducted at many hospitals?

Best wishes

Wendy
