Apart from the malar rash and the usual with sun exposure, I’ve been quite fortunate with not having many skin complaints.
This morning I noticed a rash on my hip, red and bumpy and in the circle, discoid formation.
Is it normal for discoid rashes to feel sore? It feels like the area is burning and I’m on a late shift today and quite uncomfortable as it’s also right where my uniform is having to sit… so I can’t wait to get home and put something comfy on it!
Is there any creams I can put on? Or should I leave it alone? I have rheum on Tuesday and have snapped a photo of it.. but want to know if there’s anything I can do for it a bit sooner as you can bet your bottom dollar that itll be gone by the time I see the doc! 😂
Thanks everyone

Good point, that’s true. At the moment it’s still very localised and in that circle formation. I’m trying not to irritate it so it isn’t as inflamed as yesterday. I’ll keep an eye, thanks
Sorry to hear you’ve got this rash T&T. I would apply Dermavate to it but as you can only get that on prescription unless you have some in stock it isn’t a useful suggestion. Aloe Vera is always comforting and won’t do any harm but otherwise I’m not sure what to suggest. Only 2 more days until you see Rheumy so I hope you get some help then if it is still visible. But at least you have your photo of it. 👍🏻 Let us know how you get on. 🤗😘
Thank you! My dad has betamethasone cream for his psoriasis which he’s given me for when I’ve had rashes previously. Not sure if it’s worth a try but considering leaving it until I have rheum!
Thanks, partly anxious, partly looking forward to the appointment 😬🤗
Try not to be anxious. Just remember they are there to help you and as long as you are prepared with notes of what symptoms you’ve had and when they started they will do their best to help. So look forward to it. Take care. 🤗xx
