I bought myself a lovely new oil burner. I've got lots of essential oils and am trying different ways to relax. I have been watching video clips today of Yoga for the wheelchair bound. Really informative and I think I've found a good lady to help me get started. So I'll let you know how I get on, should start OK as I already use meditation π€
Shame it won't be able to help with my eczema which has flared up so bad. So glad that I have a video call booked in with rheumatologist on 5th next month π€ If any of you fell sufferers have any helpful tips please share.
Take care all, even if you have had your 2nd Covid jab π

Hi Bronn, the oil burner sounds lovely. Smells are so fundamental to mood I think. I tried an oil burner but it really irritates my chest. Good luck with the wheelchair yoga. Let us know how you get on xxx
Hi Bronn,I agree with Cecily about smells being fundamental to mood and there are so many wonderful essential oils all with different benefits to choose from. Regarding your eczema, have you tried switching to goats milk or oat milk? My first husband was plagued with eczema and he found using goats milk and yoghurt, instead of cows, really helped but I donβt know if soya yoghurt would have been just as good because it wasnβt available to us at that time. I really hope your Rheumy is able to help you.
Enjoy your yoga - so good for the mind and soul. Let us know if you find anything to help your eczema. Take care. π€πxx
Hi Spotty-ewe, I have tried goats milk and soya before but did not like it βΉοΈ but thank you. I have a video consultation with dermatologist in the afternoon of May 5th so hoping to get some relief fir the eczema then. I'll post how I get on. A busy day the 5th as I have a telephone consult with gynaecologist in the morning as I've yet to have my op that was postponed last April π soon I hope as things have gotten much worse.
Good luck with the video appt Bronn and I hope you get some help for your eczema then. ππ» And I hope you have good news from your gynaecologist re a date for your op. That is a very long time to wait for a postponed op! A whole year! π³ My hubby is still waiting for a 24 hour heart monitor which has been requested by his cardiologist for long term tachycardia and the hospital has now informed him there is a 3 month waiting list for the monitor! π€·πΌββοΈ It is a worry. Anyway, please do post how you get on. Iβll be thinking of you as I have my second face to face private physio session that day. I had to go private because the waiting list for physio was so long and predicted to get longer because they are away doing vaccines at present. Take care. π€πΈπΌx
Thank you Spotty-ewe, typical though my eczema is getting better, weirdly enough I used Q10 regenerative night cream π whatever works I say. My husband had to wait months for the same machine, heβs had a stent put into 1 of his arteries but still gets a lot of problems βΉοΈ Sorry to hear you had to go private but good luck Iβll think about you too π
Iβm so sorry to hear your husband is still having problems despite his stent. Are they planning to do anything else for him? My hubby had open-heart surgery 3 years ago to repair a damaged mitral valve, but he went into atrial fibrillation not long afterwards. Then he had an ablation last October and since then has been in tachycardia - hence the cardiologist wants him to have the 24 hour monitor to see what is going on. Thereβs always something eh? But Iβm really pleased to hear your eczema is getting better ππ»ππ» Long may it last!ππ» Nice to think weβll be thinking of each other on the 5th. I wonder what the Dermy will make of Q10 regenerative working? π€ Do you think heβll prescribe it for you?π Take care Bronn, and let us know how you get on. π€πxx
To be honest he's sick of going back and forth to the gp and getting nowhere π‘ so is managing his condition the best he can himself. No news for myself going into hospital yet, but thank you. Take care and I hope your hubby is OK. Good luck to you both π
Hi Bronnπ€I use essential oils a lot n I agree with the others that they r a wonderful way to enhance mood..help to relax or stimulate..u really can use them to create an environment that suits u at any given time.
Can I recommend a book called The Fragrant Pharmacy by Valerie Ann Worwood..it's my go to aromatherapy book n she includes wonderful recipes for everything..including fragrances for the home!! Mine is very battered now with loads of bookmarks in..it's like my Bible!! πΉ
Best of luck with the yoga too..am very interested in 'sitting down' yoga πππ½π½xx
