Anyone had diaphragm issues with Lupus. For months now I have felt that I couldn’t take a full breath it is worse when I walk up an incline or stairs now even having a shower is a struggle. Have read that there is a condition relating to my problem just wondered if anyone else had this issue.

Hi - I am the same get out of breath straight away waking up a hill or stairs hubby says I’m unfit but as soon as I am back walking on flat I recover - I have had problems with my lungs with pains and coughing just thought it was inflammation in the lungs - before lupus diagnosis was told I had asthma but I haven’t never bothered with inhaler as didn’t need it! PS had x rays on them and nothing found x

Me too!I've got crackles/creps at the base of both lungs but my XRays are clean. I've recently been dx'd with costochondritis which my rheumy says could explain my feeling of not being able to take a deep breath.

I hope this helps.
