Hi guys, me again... I wondered if it was normal for my joints to click/crack a lot. I never used to click much at all but since being diagnosed with lupus I seem to click a great deal.... is this normal and a common thing to happen?
Thanks, Cerys

Hi Cerys I have SLE, 20+ years and Osteoarthritis in hands, feet, right ankle and knees . I have creaked and cracked for many years and sometimes it's hard to differentiate the 2 diseases. It was my Rhuemy that referred me to Orthopaedics and organised xrays ahead of my appointment. I have had both knees 'cleaned out' twice and steroid injections, now waiting for a new right knee.
Discuss with you GP or Rhuemy
Good luck.
Lupus affects connective tissue that's why joints, lungs, heart, kidneys and brain can be affected but like nicky said report back to your hcps even if it's just for reassurance x
So common I think - I had the noises long before diagnosis !!
Thanks Cas! Yes, it’s not painful just more annoying than anything. They pop at my every move near enough
